Suggestion while on trekking.
These guidelines help minimize the impact of your visit on the natural environment and also on other visitors.
Help to keep the park unspoiled for future visitors
Remove rubbish : Litter is unattractive, harmful to wildlife and the environment. Plan your trip to minimize rubbish by not taking bottles and cans. Rinjani has a “pack it in –pack it out” policy, so be sure to carry out whatever you carry in.
Stay on the track : By keeping to the trail, you avoid trampling undergrowth and risking getting lost in the forest.
Camp with care : When camping, leave no trace of your visit. Keep streams and lakes clean; wash well away from the water source by taking water in a container. Soap and detergent are harmful to the creatures that live in the streams. Drain used water into the ground.
Bury toilet waste : In areas without toilet facilities, bury your toilet waste in a shallow hole well away from waterways, tracts, campsites and shelters. Take care with fires. Portable fuel stoves are less harmful to the environment and are more efficient than fires. If you must use a fire, keep it small and make sure that the fire is out before leaving by dousing it with water and checking the ashes.
Respect cultural and natural heritage : Help protect the spiritual and historical significance of Mt. Rinjani by respecting our local culture. Conserve wildlife and plants of the national park by not removing anything.
Consider other visitors : Walk quietly trough the forest so that you do not disturb the wildlife that you and others have come to see.

Very Flexible Program

We name it the very flexible trekking program because it is very flexible. You are free to arrange your own trekking plan together with us, six days or a week program or even more, what you want to eat, what you want to wear, where and when you want to rest, pak Alam, our guides and porters are ready to serve your needs.

Rinjani Trekking 4 Days 3 Night Program

Again the first and second day same as the two nights and three days program, only this time you are more relax and have much more time. At the lake, we will have a lot of time for various activities such as swimming, having a relaxing hot bath at the hot spring, taking beautiful pictures and even fishing. On the third day, another chance to explore the mountain, on the way up Senaru rim our guide will take you to some spots for great pictures making, watching the black monkeys chanting around and learn a bit of our local medicinal plantations. We will arrive at the camping ground where we will spend the last night by afternoon. The fourth day, after having breakfast we start walking down to Senaru and get there at around 10.00am. if you are not too tired, our guides are always ready to take you for a walk to our ancient house and also the famous Sendang Gila waterfall.

Rinjani Trekking 3 Days 2 Night Program

Same as the two days one night program, only after coming down from the summit we will have a real breakfast and directly pack up for the trek down to the lake. The trek will take us more or less 3 hours, we have to be very careful on first half way down because the trek is stony and slippery. If you choose taking this program, you have to be ready to be in rush. As we get to the lake at around midday, we have only three hours for lunch, swimming or whatever interest you may have. You can pick either you want to climb up back to Sembalun rim and walk down the same way or we climb up to Senaru rim at 15.00pm. Or, you are more interested to stay over night at the lake instead. If you pick to go back via Senaru and stay over night at the lake, on the third day we will start climb up at around 08.00am and arrive at Senaru 10 hours later. But if we start climb up to Senaru rim on the second day afternoon, you will have more time for sight seeing at Senaru because will get there in the morning before we drive you to your next destination. If you plan not to go back to Sembalun, our driver and Pak Alam will make sure you will have all your belongings safely carried to Senaru.

Rinjani Trekking 2 Days 1 Night Program

This program is the shortest program we offer for Rinjani trek. On the first day, after having a fine breakfast at Maria, we will start moving at around 08.00 am. Everything is already well prepared the day before by your guide and porter so there`s nothing you need to worry about, all you have to carry with you is your own very personal stuff and a bottle of water.

Beautiful scenery stretched in the front of us as we hit the ground. We keep on walking up until the 1st base camp where we take a short rest and continue walking for another couple of hours before we make a stop for lunch. Eat, little rest and stretch and we hop up again to the rim, if we are fast we will get there enough time before sunset. Dinner is served before you realize that you are hungry, you will have an unforgettable bonfire light dinner ever. It`s a suggestion from us for you to take enough rest because the next day will be raft. On the second day, the guide will knock (or scratch) on your tent to wake you up at 2.30 am (even earlier if you ask them to), light breakfast is ready so does your shoes because you gat to put them on and start the real trekking to the summit. We have very limited time there, we have to roll down at around 08.00 am to avoid the quick changing of weather which will do us no good. Breakfast is waiting at the camp, there is still couple of hours for relaxing and pictures taking before the tent is packed up, and the path walking back down is ready to give your knees a real exercise.

Rinjani Summit
